We are a group of small children’s homes looking after up to three young people and are looking for enthusiastic and motivated staff to assist us to care for them in their day to day lives while promoting good childcare practice to meet with our standard expectations.
An enriching role, where you will complete a usual shift pattern of 2 days on (with sleep in’s) and 4 days off, enabling you to fit work around your life earning you job satisfaction as well as short working weeks!
As a Therapeutic Support Worker you will be working within a small team supporting up to three young people with their day to day lives. You will transport them to school, engage in activities, support them to spend time with their families and help them to understand and accept who they are, empowering them to grow in to who they want to be. You will have support from a skilled and trained team as well as a manager based in each home and also be lead through consultations with a clinical psychologist to develop strategies and methods to provide the best support for these children.

Training and Qualifications
We offer a comprehensive induction as well as robust training, also offering the opportunity to obtain a Level 3/4 Diploma in Children and Young People qualification which we will fund if you don’t already have this. Your continued development will be monitored and discussed with you as part of your ongoing employment. We are committed to developing our own staff to make this an enriching career.
What do you need as a Therapeutic Support Worker?
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· The ability to stay calm in stressful situations
· To be able to engage positively with the young people
· To be able to be emphatic with young people who are experiencing difficulties
· Energy and motivation to participate in different activities with the young people
· To be able to work as part of a team
· Full driving license preferred but not essential.
· To be able to be flexible as the role requires evening and weekend work
